Masalli and Jalilabad mosques were presented books

Employees of the State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations and the Knowledge Foundation under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan met with believers in the southern region of the country during the holy month of Ramadan and conveyed their congratulations to their organizations.

During the meetings with believers at the Hishkadara village mosque in Masalli region and Juma mosque in Jalilabad, Nahid Mammadov head of the committee’s department, and Haji Abdulla, head of the Knowledge Foundation’s internal projects sector, emphasized that national leader Heydar Aliyev’s care for the preservation and development of national-moral, religious values, are successfully pursuing by Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev and he noted that this care is turned into the state policy with excellent mechanism.

Religious leaders expressed their gratitude for the greetings of President Ilham Aliyev to the Azerbaijan people on the occasion of Ramadan.

About 100 books have been donated to the mosques on behalf of the State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations and the Knowledge Foundation.

Sector Head of the Knowledge Foundation, Haji Abdulla, told AZERTAC’s regional correspondent that within the framework of the Multiculturalism, Islamic Solidarity and the People’s Republic of Azerbaijan years, ANAS, the Caucasus Muslims Office, together with the Baku International Multiculturalism Center held religious awareness and promotion of national and moral values programs in the regions, as well as large-scale enlightenment events in the field of religious radicalism and elimination of its causes, and they yielded a positive result.

According to the Action Plan approved by the Head of the Presidential Administration dated February 10, 2017, more than two thousand books have been donated to mosques, churches and synagogues to promote religious enlightenment and religious solidarity, promoting national-moral values, strengthening the Azerbaijan ideology.
